Advice to help fatigue caused by postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome :)?

Keep well hydrated: In addition to medications called beta blockers, pots patients should stay well hydrated. Drink a sports drink ;#40;eg. Gatorade;#41; twice daily and put plenty of salt on your food. Avoid caffeine which is a diuretic and lead to poor hydration.

What causes resting ekgs to be inconsistent? One showed sinus tachycardia, one showed a right ventricular conduction delay, sometimes a borderline qt, sometimes high lv force. I'm an athlete. Feel very fatigued after exercise. Normal to be inconsistent?

Varies: There can be a number of reasons that an ekg can be "inconsistent". First, if your cardiac condition varies then the keg findings can vary; second, there can be variations in the placement of the leads by the technician that can sometimes make ekgs appear different; also, if different people are reading the ekgs it may be interpreted differently. Echocardiogram may be helpful in athletes as well

I struggle with moderate anorexia. What could cause my low blood pressure, tachycardia, and dizziness as well as fatigue?

I struggle with moderate anorexia. What could cause my low blood pressure, tachycardia, and dizziness as well as fatigue?

Anorexia: Low blood pressure, tachycardia, dizziness, and fatigue are all symptoms of volume contraction. If you're not drinking enough as a result of or independently of the anorexia, those symptoms will occur. Liberalize your salt intake (eat potato chips!), drink enough fluids to make your urine clear, and avoid alcohol and caffeine. See if that helps?

Dysautonomia - MVP: You may have dysautonomia which is associated with mitral valve prolapse syndrome - neither are usually life threatening but both cause patients anxiety about their symptoms. Read dr. Richard hoffman's book on mvp on amazon. Com. Increase fluid and salt intake, try magnesium supplements.

Is it common with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome to have bouts of extreme tiredness?

Is it common with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome to have bouts of extreme tiredness?

Depends on BP how lo: Fatigue is common in POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) for 2 reasons: 1) if ur BP is low, then ur brain doesn't get enough blood flow, & as a result u feel tired. 2) the causes of POTS isn't fully known, but some suspect it happens because of a virus or inflammatory reaction. Virus infections (like the cold, flu) cause u 2 b tired by their nature, & ur immune system takes up energy.

Suffering from exhaustion & fatigue due to my Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Sleep specialist can't help, iron tabs don't work. Advice?

Suffering from exhaustion & fatigue due to my Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Sleep specialist can't help, iron tabs don't work. Advice?

Postural orthostasis: A cardiologist needs to start managing you and in the interim, you should keep yourself well hydrated, perhaps take salt tablets and be careful when you stand up. Always sit for a minute when you awaken in the morning as opposed to jumping out of bed.

Is therer any connection between postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and chronic fatigue as many people with pots are always tired and in pain?

Is therer any connection between postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and chronic fatigue as many people with pots are always tired and in pain?

Not clearly: Pots is potentially, but not always, a marker for connective tissue disease, an example being lupus. Chronic fatigue is also poorly understood, unfortunately. But some medications we use for pots can make you tired.

Exercise!: Exercise is the magic bullet here, along with staying well hydrated and getting plenty of uninterrupted nighttime sleep. Also, make sure no other problems are playing a role such as depression or obstructive sleep apnea, two large factors causing fatigue in my patient population. Good luck!

Tachycardia, depersonalization, fatigue after eating. RX of POTS but never had this issue before. Sugars and BP are fine after eating. What could it be?

Sounds like panic: Attacks. Many things can trigger them, including eating, especially around other people or in crowds. If doc has ruled out medical conditions please see mental health professional for strss management and panic disorder treatment. Lots of reasons to hope. Peace and good health.

I have sinus tachycardia with symptoms of fatigue. My labs values are high neutrophils, Eosinphils and immature granuloma. I have low b12, osmolality?

I have sinus tachycardia with symptoms of fatigue. My labs values are high neutrophils, Eosinphils and immature granuloma. I have low b12, osmolality?

Labs: I trust you mean immature granulocytes. The labs mean nothing in the absence of a good history and physical exam. You do need a serious investigation of your B12 status and to determine whether you need lifetime replacement. Nobody here will be able to tel you anything more. Heads up -- very high eosinophils warn of Churg-Strauss which often gets missed.

Sideeffects normal: All these side effects of metaprolol are common, but if you get them more often or more in intensity, worrying you then talk to your doctor. He may decrease the dose or change the medicine.

30 day event recorder=sinus rhythm tachycardia, experiencing daily lightheadedness, dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, short of breath. What's happening?

Symptoms = possibly: Related but these are far too complex issues & relationships to be dealt with in such a limited interface as HealthTap. Be aware: (a) you are in charge of your life & health, not others & (b) how the medical industry operates: http://goo. Gl/Blh6rW, rarely addressing causes; only treating body symptoms. Plaquenil & methotrexate=typically prescribed for autoimmune problems such as Lupus. God Bless!

Dx'd sinus tachycardia, harmless but I experience severe fatigue, lightheadedness, dizzy, palpitations, shortness of breath, while relaxed everyday.

Sinus tachycardia: Sinus tachycardia can cause symptoms of fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. Talk to your MD about your symptoms. Is your thyroid normal? Why are you on Plaquenil & Methotrexate? Consult with us to help you find the best plan for you. Don't forget diet choices can make you feel fatigue so eat a low inflammatory diet as well.
