Does T Gel Help Hair Loss
I am using home prepared FLAX SEED GEL without any other stuff in it - just 100% flax seed gel - will it cause hair loss?
Hair loss, otherwise known as alopecia, can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles or fungal infections. There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body's immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic (or androgenic) alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. With alopecia areata, hair can fall out in patches all over the body. With androgenetic alopecia, hair on the head first thins and then falls out. In men, this is called male pattern hair loss; in women, it is called ...Read more

Not related: Differin (adapalene) does not cause hair loss. This is a very unusual situation. Please see your dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Grocapix not same: Grocapix contains red clover extract that is said to be a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, suppressing dihydrotestosterone thereby reducing effects of this hormone on hair growth. Is Nizoral (ketoconazole) better than neutrogena t/gel? I heard Nizoral (ketoconazole) is good for hair re-growth too
Better for what?: For something to be better, it has to be appropriate for your goal (s). And potential benefits need to exceed risks. Nizoral is a brand of ketoconazole, an antifungal while neutrogena t/gel has various ingredients aimed at dandruff. Former is by prescription only while latter is available over-the-counter. You also need to take cost into account b/c if you can't afford it, best product is moot poin. ...Read more

How often should I apply olive oil or hot oil treatments to my flaky itchy scalp? Neutrogena t-gel and head and shoulders doesn't help
Greetings, Besides heredity. What are other factors that causes baldness? Is it true that regular usage of shampoo and hair gel causes this? Thanks
It's heredity--the: Gene causing male pattern baldness is on the X-chromosome. That means your father had nothing to do with it because there are very few genes on the Y chromosome. It doesn't matter if your father had a full head of hair. What matters is if your mother has a brother with a full head of hair and your mother's father also. The culprit is dihydrotestosterone, made from testosterone by skin receptors. ...Read more
Male pattern baldness is typically genetic. Though certain environmental effects likely contribute to the rate of hair loss, I don't know of any evidence suggesting hair styling products contribute to this.
Products such as Minoxidil can slow hair loss in those with male pattern baldness. ...Read more
