Depends on much. : Some increase prolactin, some might affect Insulin levels or sensitivity, some decrease cortisol. Their effects on hunger and satiety hormones also likely differ. I'm not aware of direct effects on thyroid or sex hormones aside from prolactin. Psychiatric symptoms themselves however are known to be associated with thyroid and other hormonal imbalances so i check them all. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Med & blood eval: The best way to confirm a thyroid issue is a medical evaluation and a blood test. If symptoms of panic , anxiety and stress existed over 10 years, chances are there are psychological issues although an additional thyroid condition is possible. ...Read more

Hair loss: I think you should be seen again. I would want to recheck your thyroid function with full thyroid labs, including antibodies. Extreme stress can cause some hair loss, but I would expect it to be much improved after 10 months. Best of luck to you. ...Read more
