Does Strep Throat Symptoms Occur In Any St Ds
Usually not: By "strep throat symptoms, " I think you mean sore throat, fever, swollen glands, and tiredness lasting more than two or three days. These are not unique to strep, and usually don't occur with std's. But if you have those symptoms, you should visit your doctor to be checked. ...Read more
Can you get strep throat or any other throat condition from giving oral sex to a male that has no current STI/STD?
No non-STD risk: Other than STDs, no infections or any other medical conditions are likely to be transmitted by oral sex. Even STDs are pretty low risk, but not zero risk. If you've had such exposure to a new or especially high risk partner, see a doctor or clinic for gonorrhea testing (throat swab, not urine) and maybe, in a few weeks, blood tests for syphilis and HIV. Otherwise no worries. ...Read more
Strep throat, prescribed amoxicillin. Then red spots on top of hand, rash along both bottom sides of arms. Doc says unlikely allergic relation. STD?
Strep related: There are at least two forms of rash associated with strep. One is related to a toxin released by living strep germs, typically flat, sand papery and rosey. Anther is a hive like eruption (bumps) that can be associated with it. There are a few STD associated rashes, but what you describe is not how they appear. ...Read more

Strep is not a virus: While many sore throats are caused by viruses, strep throat is caused by a pathogenic strain of a bacteria called group a streptococcus. Both types of sore throat will improve over a few days & both will have active germs present after symptoms improve. Failure to have strep verified & treated may allow the germ to damage various organ systems over time. The viruses pass & self heal. ...Read more
Tested positive with strep throat for 3 time in last two months. I have sore throat symptoms but nothing else. Am I a carrier? Am I contagious everyday?
Hard to say: We generally reserve the "chronic carrier" label for those who do not get sick with it, although anyone sick with it carries it for a while. You need to investigate whether you are being reinfected by a third party, your old tooth brush, your dog, etc. Some have resistant strep and need 2 stage therapy. Work the specifics out with your doc. ...Read more

Several possibilitie: Chris, There are several possibilities. A strep screen is about 80-85% accurate. Strep is therefore still a slight possibility. More likely is a viral pharyngitis, which would cause the same symptoms, usually last 5-7 days, then get better on its own. Lastly, you could have mono, if you haven't before. In that case, it would last 6 weeks. If it doesn't go away in a week see your doctor. ...Read more

My tonsils are swollen with white spots, and my throats also red with little bumps. I'm a virgin. Not std or strep. Ideas?
Tested?: The majority of these are viruses that gained access to your throat off your contaminated fingers or inhaled droplets. Days after oral & anal penetration with no ejaculation, I got red bumps back of throat. Went in days after STD results & strep is negative. Now what?
Live: Live. Go about your life. These will heal. In six weeks or so do the other std tests so that you do not worry more than you have to worry. Remember sores can appear in the viral 'flu and cold' seasons without explanation; tissue can react to 'trauma' after giving a blow job and it hitting the back of the throat. You have ruled out strep, which would be my first assumption. So, you are clear. ...Read more
