NO, however...: Milk thistle has been the subject of many research studies. While the results are mixed re: benefits, the studies have found it is quite safe. However, it can cause nausea, but this should stop as soon as you stop taking it. When you vomit, this acid comes up as well, and vomiting repeatedly can irritate the esophagus and throat, which is likely what you are experiencing.
