Mom with DLB diagnosed with benign tumor on adrenal gland in February. One month later I'm told she has Stage 3 Kidney Disease based on blood work. ?
Not sure: Dx of a benign adrenal tumor is made on scan with a solitary small nodule in adrenal. Occassionally known mets to adrenal appear as small nodules iel lung, melanoma, breast to adrenal. If kidney tumor was present it would have shown up on scan. Dx of kidney cancer not made on blood test, there is no marker for kidney. Yes: The diet/medications that we use for people with stage 3 ckd can cause constipation. Use of metamucil or its generic equivalent is generally all that's needed to overcome this. However, this can worsen as the kidney disease progresses.
