It: It certainly could be scabies, but watery blisters on the fingers is often a sign of "dyshidrotic eczema". This is form of eczema that is common on the hands and fingers. Treatment with a hydrating cleanser such as cerave hydrating cleanser, moisturize with cerave cream, and possible treatment with a steroid ointment would be helpful. It is possible that you have a reinfestation with scabies although that is difficult to determine without a skin scraping. I hope that helps. ...Read more

You can do a shaved skin bx for diagnosis or find a burrowing tract. I've been fooled several times by scabies so its not a total no-brain er. Was it scabies?: Water blisters on the fingers sounds a little different from a scabies infection to the skin. Consider seeing a dermatologist. Otherwise if irritated w/o infection, can try Hydrocortisone over the counter. Good luck. ...Read more

Scabies: 33 year old gentleman with scabies infection treated with oral therapy now with new red rash. You may require treatment with oral and topical therapy. You may be extremely contagious and you should avoid scratching the scabies rash. Contact your doctor and read the CDC decontamination protocol for your close contacts, bedding, clothing, etc.

Red welts, initially appear as mosquito bites. Far more itchy. Form blister and liquid, which when dries turns yellowish. Treated for scabies. No luck?

See a derm, biopsy: You should see a dermatologist for evaluation, possible cultures and/or biopsy, and advice on treatment. They will also need to take a thorough medical history. Post a photo: Many things can look as described. Both chicken pox (unlikely) and scabies are intensely itchy. Scabies does not form visible blisters but tracks with bumps spread out at relatively even intervals.
