None proven: Every study, so far, of dozens of hangover cures have not shown any to work consistently in most people. A recent study out of china said that they found sprite to be helpful in hangovers, but I haven't read the study, and can't vouch for it. Staying well-hydrated (getting drunk dehydrates you), using tylenol (acetaminophen) for headache and giving it time is mostly the best we can do. Drinking less prevents it. ...Read more

I know hundreds: And the reason that there ARE hundreds is because none of them work all that well, or at least in most people. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - don't drink to excess and you won't get hangovers. If you have problems not drinking, you may need some counseling help. Warm sprite is what I have recommended with some success to settle the stomach, at least. ...Read more
Yes and No: Breathing 100% oxygen can be harmful over time. Symptoms may include disorientation, breathing problems, and vision changes. Easier to breathe...: "room air" is approximately 21% oxygen. People need oxygen to make their vital organs (brain and others) function well. If a person's lungs are damaged, that person may not absorb oxygen well. By administering oxygen to the patient, the percentage of oxygen in the "air" is increased allowing for the person to oxygenate their blood more readily and thereby deliver oxygen to vital organs. ...Read more

I just asked about carbon monoxide exposure, and want to know if inhaling pure oxygen or eating certain foods can rebuild my body's strength.?
Hyperbaric oxygen: Acute carbon monoxide (co) poisening can be treated with hyperbaric oxygen, 100% oxygen at 2-3x atmospheric pressure can displace co that would otherwise be irreversably bound to the hemaglobin. This is probably enhanced by disolving much more oxygen in the bloodstream itself than normal. This would not be helpful for minor chronic exposure like smoking. ...Read more
