Probable overflow: These are probably loose stools around an impaction. A cleanout as recommended by your pcp or GI doc, followed by daily miralax, (polyethylene glycol) mineral oil and fiber such as popcorn, along with designated toilet sitting time, should help. ...Read more

Post op constipation for 3 days. Miralax (polyethylene glycol) and the like didn't work. Did manual disimpaction myself . Worked well. Is there any risk to that?

There is a risk: But this is done every day in many er's, but usually not by the patient. If there is an injury, one would expect pain, cramps, blood, fever, abdominal pain.If u feel ok, u probably are. ...Read more
