Can girls 17 and younger take the Plan B one step pill? Will it cause health problems?

Yes, and no: Yes, young women (younger than 17) can take Plan B and yes it's definitely safe. Plan b is progesterone, a hormone that your ovaries have been making all along. The age of 17 was more of a political cut off originally for the fda, than a physiological one, but definitely safe for women younger than 17. And no, will not harm you at all. Can taking Plan B twice cause a person to not get pregnant later on?

Frequent, continued: Non-emergency use is not recommended and one reason is that it can cause changes in the thickness of the mucous in the uterus that can make it more difficult for an egg to attach and grow. Twice, especially over a span of time is probably not too much - but don't use it as birth control. It is for emergencies only. Talk with your doctor for more detail. Good luck. ...Read more

If I take cranberry AZO shorty after I took Plan B, is it possible for the AZO to decrease the effectiveness or flush out the plan b?

No: AZO will not interfere with the effectiveness of AZO which is good for treating the symptoms of a UTI but does not treat the infection. If you think u might have a UTI you need to be seen for a urinalysis and possibly antibiotics. That would also be a good time to discuss a more reliable method of contraception. Hope this helps. Good luck. ...Read more
