Does Overactive Thyroids Cause Sinus Problems
Probably not: Sinus infections can not directly cause body aches. Upper respiratory allergy does not usually cause muscle aches and neck pain. A viral infection of the upper respiratory tract can produce all these symptoms. If so, be patient, drink a lot of fluids and your immune system should kick in. If these symptoms last for more than 10 days, see your physician.

After a few days of sinus problems, including sore throat and slight /occasional earache, I found a soft lump on left side of my neck. It's at the base sort of under my ear and jawbone. Any idea what this could be?
Reactive node: It sound's like you have a reactive lymph node. This is a lymph node that is doing it's job by enlarging to help get rid of the infections you've been suffering. It should be gone within 4 weeks. If it's not, see your doctor.

Allergies or virus: "sinus" problems in children are often the result of viral upper respiratory infections. If there are persistent positive findings of chronic sinusitis, then allergies, structural anomalies and immune disorders need to be ruled out. This is accomplished by pediatric ENT specialist. If the child is robust and has no other problems, then is likely a minor issue.
Indirectly, perhaps: If diabetic's blood sugars are not well controlled, the excess glucose may allow bacteria/viruses to thrive more easily in the sinuses. Keep sugar under control; flush nasal passages/sinuses with saline spray to wash out germs (neti pot works well, too; just remember to use boiled or distilled water). Wash hands frequently, especially if around others with infections.
As above: Could be, if it is bothersome see u md for evaluation and treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
