Ovarian cyst on left ovary for 2 years. Constant dull pain in groin area. Has not changed in size 2.75cm. Should I opt for removal? Dr leaving it 2 me

Maybe: You say that you've had a pain in the area for 2 years, that's a long time. While the cyst is on the smaller side, at 2.75cm, if the pain is interfering with your quality of life then maybe a laparoscopic surgery would be warranted. Drs will recommend surgery when it's necessary, but when you're the one taking the risks, and there's no threat of cancer, then you are the best one to decide. ...Read more

Can a solid hemorrhagic ovarian cyst cause random pains in the lymph nodes in the groin?

Can a solid hemorrhagic ovarian cyst cause random pains in the lymph nodes in the groin?

You might ask your gyn about oral bcp to diminish the occurrence of such cysts. ...Read more

I had an MRI done of pelvis it says I have bilateral ovarian cysts 2.7cm and 2.9 CM also shows I have a proximal iliac node 1.7 CM what should I do?

See a doctor.: Ovarian cysts are common. One single mildly enlarged pelvic lymph node is nonspecific. Your doctor may elect to follow up the cyst to see if they would resolve on their own over 2-3 menstrual cycles. They may come and go. See your doctor for check up of the rest of your body to see if there are other enlarged lymph nodes. ...Read more

I recently had an MRI on my hips which shows mildly complex heterogeneous ovarian cyst and presence of free fluid within the pelvis How serious is this

Hard to say: It is hard to say since there are many causes of these findings. The first thing recommended should be a pelvic ultrasound with doppler flow studies. The cyst can be a functional cyst with hemorragh (caused by the function of the ovary-ovulation), an endometrioma, a cystic teratoma or dermoid, or a cancer. The doppler flow will be increased if it is cancer. ...Read more

I have 3 ovarian cysts, one on tube. Have fluid in pelvis. Getting us in a few weeks. Now abnormal pap. Getting colposcopy. Should I be worried?

Don't worry, but: Whoa! Ovarian cysts aren't on tubes so you either have 2 ovarian cysts and one tubal (?), or 3 ovarian cysts. This is not to worry about by itself. Fluid in the pelvis? All people have small fluid, and all women have fluid around ovulation and around menstruation. Fluid doesn't automatically mean problems. Bad Pap goes with colposcopy but not the other issues. Your doc can clarify more. Best! ...Read more
