Can orange juice help with constipation?

Can orange juice help with constipation?

Not usually.: Orange juice does not usually help the bowels move properly. If it is just an occasional problem, you might want to consider prunes. In the long run, you will want to increase fiber in your diet. A fiber cereal is good for that. I mix mine up in yogurt each morning to give it a better taste. Often I add in fruit also. Good luck. ...Read more

Meckel's diverticulu: There is a concept called referred pain. Pain felt at the belly button could be generated anywhere in his gut from just outside of his stomach to his mid-transverse colon-in other words, not very specific location. Bring him to his doc and if he is stymied to a peds GI doc. There is also possibility of Meckel's diverticulum. Good luck! ...Read more

Is orange juice unhealthy how much would be too much

Is orange juice unhealthy how much would be too much

Orange : Orange juice is tricky - we've been told for years how healthy it is, right? True, it has vitamin c, calcium (if you buy the calcium fortified stuff), and it tastes good, but there are a few other things to keep in mind: - an 8 oz glass of oj has almost as much sugar as a can of soda - oj has little to no fiber, so that sugar rush can cause an Insulin spike which eventually leads to high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and weight gain. Eating the whole fruit is much better for you because the fiber found in the fruit causes the sugars to be digested more slowly which avoids the Insulin spike - the stuff you buy in the carton has been processed with many chemicals to increase shelf life - even the expensive stuff! if you must have oj, it's much better to squeeze it yourself. The 2 best bits of dietary advice i can give pertaining to juice is "everything in moderation" or "bypass the juice and just eat the fruit". Your body will thank you. ...Read more

Is orange juice the best way to kick start one's metabolism in the morning after waking up?

If you mix any juice with milk will that make you feel sick? Or is it just orange juice and milk?

Most folks feel fine: Most people can have both juice and milk with their breakfasts, and drink them at the same time without any unusual symptoms. That means mixing juice and milk does not cause a person to become sick (so there may be another reason for one's symptoms, rather than the juice or milk themselves). Is there gastric reflux, lactose intolerance, food allergies, etc...? Also, juice has too much sugar. ...Read more
