Does Obese Stomach Put Pressure On Colon
Deep rectal pain and pressure in lower left abdomen where colon should be, pressure feels more noticeable when I have to use the bathroom, any ideas?
Diverticulitis : Possible diverticular disease is a condition that occurs when a person has problems from small pouches, or sacs, that have formed and pushed outward through weak spots in the colon wall. Each pouch is called a diverticulum. Multiple pouches are called diverticula. The colon is part of the large intestine. The large intestine absorbs water from stool and changes it from a liquid to a solid form. ...Read more

It feels like pressure on.In my colon in the lower left side of my abdomen, besides diverticulitis, can it just be that i'm impacted and just need bm?
Felt severe pressure in URQ as something stuck there 2apoint almost faint, can't release gas in my stomach and colon although have normal BM what is it?
Will chronic straining / increased intra-abdominal pressure cause the colon veins to become enlarged the same way it causes hemorrhoids?
Had tailbone pain for couple weeks now. Got worse after riding exercise bike. Hurts if i press or put pressure on it. Could it be colon cancer?
Doubt colon cancer: What you describe is very common especially in folks who do bike, usually after microtrauma. Read online about coccydynia. At your age and without anything else to say "colorectal cancer", i'd not be concerned, but everybody your age should get a rectal as part of your annual physical; ask to be checked if you visit your physician for your coccyx. ...Read more
16mm flat polyp removed and endo clips put in to seal where removal occurred in my colon---been three days and I still feel abdominal cramp-normal?
Check with doctor: 13mm is half an inch, so 16mm is a little more than that. There's some inflammation (redness, pain, swelling) at the healing spot, but one can call the GI doctor to see if the healing is on schedule, compared with the doctor's experiences with his other patients who had similar polyps removed. One should be ready to describe the quality, severity, location, and duration of "cramps" to the doctor. ...Read more
I had sharp pain in lower left stomach for 4 months doc put me on mtetronidzole and levofloxacin pain went away quick but in concerned is this colon cancer or something else?
If u have : Constipation, try miralax (polyethylene glycol). I don't think there is much evidence this helps release built up toxins in the body, however. Probiotics aren't a bad deal if u are irregular but a "colon cleanse" is not a form of preventitive medicine unless treating constipation. Good luck. ...Read more
Diet and genetics.: In most cases, it's not clear what causes colon cancer. Several things have been shown to increase 'risk' of colon cancer, including: older age (>50), african american heritage, family history of colon cancer, inherited colon cancer syndromes, low fiber and high fat diets, sedentary life style, diabetes, obesity, radiation to the abdomen for other cancers, and possibly smoking and alcohol abuse. ...Read more
