Does Oatmeal Cause Acne
I use Salicylic acid & benzoyl peroxide 3 x per day each for acne. I also use Aveeno (oatmeal) & Eucerin 3 x per day for eczma. Will this cause toxic build up?
No: The salicylic and the benzoyl might irritate your skin though. Use the moisturizer at those spots also to help your skin.See 1 more doctor answer
I have acne problem as its clearing more and more are coming out and apart from using clean and clear & aveeno, (oatmeal) what else can be used?
Benzoyl peroxide 5: Acne is a very common skin disorder in teenagers and young adults. It is due to hormones and genetics. Benzoyl peroxide gels are over the counter, cheap, and work to kill p.Acnes and reduce the inflammation caused when hair follicles are ruptured. If this doesn't work, go see a dermatologist who can prescribe oral antibiotics and topical retinoids. The soap you are using is of lesser importance.
Better options exist: When you have acne, you do not want to dry out your face, as it leads to compensatory oil production. Gentle cleansing is best. A foaming or gel cleanser with therapeutic amounts of compounds like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid or beta hydroxy acid. Stay away from scrubs or buff pads. For thorough cleansing, use your cleanser with the clarisonic skin care brush.
Not likely: Facial cleansers are helpful and form a part of the regimen for acne treatment. It is unlikely that it will clear acne by itself. You are best to see your dermatologist and get a professional treatment plan.
Yes.: It is primarily for uv-protection.Get a more detailed answer ›
Would you recommend aveeno (oatmeal) products or tea trill skin line from the body shop for acne and oily skin?
Your choice: Aveeno (oatmeal) has some pricey, relatively weak salicylic acid glamourized with soy for some reason. Tea tree as an oil that's an estrogen and has made guys grow breasts. How abut getting serious? If topical benzoyl peroxide (dirty-cheap) as tolerated hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician for prescription-strength rx.
What products would you reccomend for acne? Biore, proactive, clean and clear, aveeno (oatmeal)? I have acne, blackheads, and oily skin
See your doctor: There are many types of therapy depending on what type of acne you have. You should follow medical advice carefully to get best results with no side effects
Hi doctors. Is oatmeal soap suitable for oily face? Which is effective oatmeal soap, acne soap or cetaphil for oily face?
YMMV.: Between the many recommended cleansers, your individual response is what determines which one works best for you.
How to tell if I have dermatitis herpetiformis if my skin breaks with acne to flours, gluten, rice and oatmeal?
No: Since rice contains no gluten, your skin problem is not related to gluten, certainly not solely even if you are gluten-sensitive.
What is the best soap for me. I've oily skin, pimples, redspot & darkspot on my face. What soap? Is it cetaphil, acne soap, kojic or oatmeal soap?
You can always try..: Cetaphil oil control soap, if that doesn't work try a brand called "boots" this can be found at target. If that doesn't work contact me again and I will recommend stronger washes :].
My skin is dry/itchy. Started using Aveeno (oatmeal) body wash/lotion. I have tiny dot pimples on my legs look like ingrown hairs, how to prevent?? Flakey skin
Dry skin/eczema: It's recommended to use plain white moisturizers two times a day, use less warm wate for bath or showers, use soaps or bath gel for sensitive skin (better to go with in colored and non fragrant or non scented, also gently tapping skin to dry than rubbing with towel is also recommended. See your doctor or skin specialist if not improving, sooner if worse.

Acne: Acne is a multifactorial disease. That means that there are many things it can cause it or aggravate it. If you have bumps on the skin of your face or in other oil gland bearing areas, you should really see a dermatologist to evaluate the type of acne you might have and the treatments which may be available for it in your case. Every case should be individualized.
