Does Norco Contain Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ibuprofen is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, menstrual ...Read more
I've been on ciprofloxacin and Flagyl since yesterday 2 xs a day and I still have temp 100.5 I'm on Norco 2 can I take advil (ibuprofen)?
Not unusual: Not unusual when being treated outpatient for diverticulitis to run a low grade fever for up to 48 hours after antibiotics started. If pain and fever persist beyond 72 hours, need re-evaluation. Ibuprofen with norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is OK if still hurting. Thanks for trusting HealthTap! ...Read more
Severe HA cont x 2 weeks post left upper molar extraction, had infection. Was prescribed antibiotic, Advil, (ibuprofen) Norco. Should I be concerned?
Try a teabag: What you describe could be dry socket syndrome. It does not respond well to antibiotics. I would place a dry teabag over the empty tooth socket and see if you get any relief. If not then yes you should check back with dentist ...Read more
How much time do I space between taking Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and Ibuprofen 800mg?
They are different: These two medications are metabolized in the body by different organ systems, so they will not interfere with each other or be dangerous to take simulataneously. Taking them together may boost the pain relieving qualities of the Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen). Ibuprofen, especially at high doses, should be taken no sooner than 8 hours apart. ...Read more

See your dentist: See your dentist. It is best to have the treatment which was started completed by the dentist or specialist. An incomplete treatment will lead to further pain and discomfort due to bacterial infection in the root of the tooth. A root canal treatment maybe recommended with a full coverage crown following the root canal and coronal buildup. ...Read more

I'm taking Norco 5/325 for my wisdom teeth. Surgeon said to alternate with Motrin. Will I have any withdrawal symptoms?
History matters: I'm glad you are aware of dependency from use of narcotic drugs. Using narcotic pain medications like Norco, especially after oral surgery, is a common practice in dentistry. Alternating with Motrin helps reduce the total amount of Norco use. If you are using the dose according to your surgeon's advice, withdrawal is highly unlikely. It is more common after a long-term, or repeated use. ...Read more

Depends on severity:
It depends on the severity and activity of your RA.
Enbrel and Methotrexate are great drugs if you have active. If it is not active Celebrex (celecoxib) and sulfasalazine are alternatives. We discourage people to use narcotic painkillers for non cancer pain for the long term since it is very addictive and people become tolerant for the doses and expect increasing doses ...Read more
Ingrown toe nail taken out 6 days ago. Still in major pain. Could this be nerve damage? Keep taking norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) or 800 motrin every 4 hours is that ok?
No: Most permenant ingrown procedures are performed utilizing a weak acid (Phenol) to kill the nail root. It is not uncommon to get a phenol burn that is more painful than average.
