I just had a stillbirth delivery at 38 weeks, first pregnancy , no know cause. How long should I wait to get pregnant again?

Give it some time: Speak to your obstetrician and make sure that all aspects have been evaluated for the stillbirth. If there was a compromise in the umbilical cord that may potentially give an answer. Also chromosomal evaluation may be helpful along with familial thrombophilia clotting studies. Allow yourself and your partner to grieve the death of the child before jumping into the next pregnancy. Make sure that all potential causes have been evaluated before attempting another pregnancy. I personally would have my patient waited at least 4 to 6 months before trying again.

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

38wks pregnant, gained a total of 32lbs with this pregnancy. Doctor concerned. Can too much weight gain during pregnancy cause stillbirth?

Stilllbirth: It is unlikely that stillbirth can be caused by the amount of weight which you have gained. Excessive weight gain, however, is related to diabetes of pregnancy. Undiagnosed diabetes can lead to elevated blood sugars which in turn can lead to stillbirth.

Im 38.5 weeks high risk pregnancy.....Cause i had 2 stillbirths one at 36 weeks and the other at 20 weeks so will i beable to get my labor induce?

Im 38.5 weeks high risk pregnancy.....Cause i had 2 stillbirths one at 36 weeks and the other at 20 weeks so will i beable to get my labor induce?

IF you were my pt: I would induce u at 39 weeks or earlier , if earlier u must have an amnio but since you are 38.5 i would induce u right at 39 weeks, as the ideal time to deliver is 39-40 weeks and i would be doing nsts and bpps each week until u deliver, indcucion is safe and easy and effective when done properly, almost all of my pts want to be induced, please call your OB to discuss and get it scheduled.

If I am pregnant 5 weeks after a stillbirth at 16 weeks gestation, would bleeding still be happening from delivery? It is pretty sporadic now.

If I am pregnant 5 weeks after a stillbirth at 16 weeks gestation, would bleeding still be happening from delivery? It is pretty sporadic now.

No: At 5 weeks and until there is a heartbeat, the pregnancy is not yet considered viable. On the other hand 25% of pregnancies in the first trimester may have some bleeding. I hope it works out well, after a loss pregnancies are often wrought with anxiety. Five weeks is very early so i suppose you began checking upt's almost immediatly. You are having a "threatened miscarriage" get in to your ob.

I had an stillbirth at 20th week of pregnancy on oct 13th, will i have difficulty in conceiving again? Wat i need to do?

I had an stillbirth at 20th week of pregnancy on oct 13th, will i have difficulty in conceiving again? Wat i need to do?

Not necessarily: If you haven't had trouble conceiving in the past there is no reason this would increase the risk in the future but your doctor does need to look into the reason for the still birth to try to keep it from recurring. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy next time.

I delivered stillbirth 3 month ago.Now period is not come there is no symptom of pregnancy.Bt in 1st pregnant there is lot symptom. What will do.Pls help.

Late period : Sorry for your loss. Your period could be late due to changes to your body/hormones after a delivery. But if you think you could be pregnant, you should take a pregnancy test and present early for prenatal care.

I delivered stillbirth during 24 week due to pressure..What are the preventive measure to take before next pregnancy?

Exercise: If by "pressure" you mean elevated blood pressure or preeclampsia, the best you can do is to get fit and exercise. Make sure you're at a healthy weight as well. You can check your bmi to see what that weight would be. Exercise, though, is the best way to bring blood pressure down. You may need medication? Talk with your md about that. Exercise is free and effects are long lasting!

I am 3 month pregnant. This is my second pregnancy. I first delivered stillbirth during 24 week through vaginal delivery. When can I feel baby movement?

At about 18 weeks: Since you know what to look for you might feel it a little earlier, but sometimes it can be even weeks later and still be completely normal. My sympathies to you as you wait this out and i wish you well.

No way to know: There is no way to know what dose of Clomid (clomiphene) you will require, but a dose that was successful in the past is usually a good place to start.

My last period come july 31st.After no period with negative pregnancy blood test in hospital. Can i still b pregnant?I delivered stillbirth 3 month ago

When was the: Pregnancy test done ? Negative pregnancy test tells you your state prior to the test . If you are sexually active and do not have any pregnancy prevention mechanism in place , you can still be pregnant . The key point is unprotected sex can make you pregnant irrespective of what the pregnancy test in the past . However , if you had negative blood pregnancy test and did not have sex , no pregnancy.

Not likely: In your case, while a c section might be needed that early, it would be better to do antenatal testing (NSTs and BPPs) starting around 32 weeks and likely cord doppler studies. Having excellent control of your diabetes will help also.
