I used Monistat 1 (tioconazole) friday 4 mild itching/discharge. Gave me burning, and swollen vagina. Today (sunday) sore/itchy vagina white/yellow thick discharge.

It could be from infection such as yeast, BV (bacterial vaginosis), and std such as chlamydia, or from chemical irritation due to feminine hygiene products. Most likely a yeast: Infection, could be bacterial or allergic or herpes or other causes, if u were my pt in coral springs, fl i would do an exam and cultures for yeast bact and herpes and most likely start treating u for yeast until i get the cultures back and u can take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) which should not hurt anything to help with some of the symptoms. ...Read more
Yeast vs BV or..: Itching in the inside of you private is often caused by yeast (candida vaginitis) or bacterial vaginitis (bv), or some chemical irritation--maybe from tampon use etc..Std such as trichomonas/herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea can cause itching as well. Depends: When you are saying swab, that doesn't exactly tell me what tests were done. Sometimes a swab means wet mount, a test that doctors do in there office, but that ma not be as accurate as other tests such as affirm (vaginal pathogen test). Allergic Reaction: It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the soap. First i would stop using anything to scrub down there since that could irritate it and second i would find a gentle soap that is hypoallergenic. A good soap is dove liquid soap.
