What would cause new break through flare ups of RLS i've been taking 1mg of mirapex (pramipexole) now it doesn't work I have problems at 3pm never needed meds til 7?
I have chronic RLS after 3yrs on mirapex (pramipexole) it now causes symptoms to worsen! also on codeine sulfate. What's next? Thought i'd found the relief
Troublesome! : Rls is very troublesome. All the meds we use show tolerance over time. You can google the laundry list of meds we use (sinemet, klonopin, neurontin, mirapex, (pramipexole) etc.) but your best bet is to sit down with a sleep specialist in your area. VARIABLE: If you are currently taking Mirapex for rls, and it is not working well, success will not be achieved by continuing to push the dose upwards, as this is more likely to increase side effects, such as nausea, postural hypotension, drowsiness, and even impulse disorder. Yes: Neurontin (gabapentin) helps me. Also if u failed other drugs u can appeal 2 ur insurance company.Also klonapin helps. Supportive: Mirapex (pramipexole) is a Dopamine agonist. Dopamine in excess in your body will cause nausea, vominting and increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Standard therapy would be usuall decontamination if early overdose ( within and hour) inducing vomitng. If having symptoms go to er or notify your doctor.
