If tested for.: This would depend on the setting of the physical. In some settings, such as on admission to a psychiatric unit, urine or blood screening for substances is ordered. A routine physical exam, however, usually does not include testing for substances. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Maybe: If the peripheral neuropathy is due to diabetes, B12 deficiency, HIV infection, sjogren's, porphyria, hepatitis c, lupus , or lead or arsenic poisoning (any enemies?), an appropriate blood test is confirmatory. Chemical exposures, the autoimmune and hereditary neuropathies, the late effects of alcoholism, and the mysterious cases (all too many) won't be detected. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Yes, but....: Almost all lupus patients have anti-nuclear antibodies in their blood at significant levels, there are other blood tests, but the whole clinical picture needs to be considered before a diagnosis is made, and since no one truly knows what lupus is, some people carry the diagnosis of "borderline / questionable" lupus, and may or may not get treated. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

ToSmokeOrNotToSmoke: The chances of testing positive for THC,even after a break in use,are much higher(about a week) if you're a regular user as opposed to someone who smoked a few times in the past few days(2-3 days)in BLOOD.In urine,THC metabolites stick around much longer (up to 100 days depending on smoking habits)so make sure you're getting a blood test.I f not, maybe a bad flu is coming on that'll last 100 days? ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
If I have a blood test tomorrow morning and i smoked marijuana tonight would it show up? Theyre testing hemoglobin, mono, tsh, lyme, cmp, sed rate
Probably not: Most drug screening tests are urinalysis. Although blood tests can be done they are much more expensive. It sounds like your labs have been ordered to work up specific symptoms, to better help you physician make a clinical diagnosis. I am very skeptical that a thc level would be included in this type of workup. Hopefully you live in a pot legal state.....Otherwise be careful! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

It depends: How long marijuana is detected in the urine depends strongly on frequency of use. In regular users (more than once a week), the marijuana metabolite builds up to a high level, often on the order of hundreds of nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml), from which it may take weeks to decline back below the threshold of detection. The situation is different for occasional users (no more than once a week). ...Read more
Probably, however...: As my colleague dr. Pappas mentions, marijuana is almost always tested in urine rather than blood, so someone would almost certainly pass a blood test but is more likely to face a urine test. If one does not smoke it regularly and only used a bit 2 weeks ago they would probably pass a urine test, but if they are a regular smoker who only stopped 2 weeks ago they might not pass it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
