My husband has three ulcers and night sweats are they related and what causes the ulcers to prevent them....?

Ulcers & night sweat: I assume you mean he has 3 ulcers in his stomach. Peptic ulcers are now known to be caused by a germ called h pylori, which should be treated with at least 2 antibiotics and omeprazole. Night sweats are not usually a symptom of peptic ulcer, but can be a symptom in anyone who is very uncomfortable. Ulcers tend to hurt the most at night because there is nothing to buffer the normal acid. ...Read more

Sweating At Night (Definition)

Night sweats may be a sign of an overactive thyroid, vitamin d deficiency, or a more serious problem like hodgkin's disease. The most common cause is probably just a heavy mattress and a warm room. The result is the same: waking up overheated and sweaty. Some people have a problem with sweating not just at night. ...Read more

Can Lupus be responsible for drenching night sweats/profound weight loss? Waiting >1 mo. for hematology appointment, trying to help myself til then.

Waiting > 1 month: Your doctor should be embarrassed by making you weight too long. Please discuss with your family or friends and see if they can help you find the right doctor to get you under control. CROHNS ON HUMIRA (adalimumab): That is good news the CROHNS is in remission. I would recommend an exam and retesting of labs. Recheck autoimmune panel/Thyroid screen/sarcoidosis screen/Immunoglobulin levels. HUMIRA (adalimumab) can sometimes weaken the immune system and cause diseases to reactivate(TB/Fungal Infection ). Discuss tapering HUMIRA (adalimumab) , it rarely has been linked to Lymphoma. If SX. Persist CT OF CHEST/ABD/PELVIS IS WARRANTED. ...Read more

What can cause really bad night sweats?

Hormone imbalance: Night sweats: there are many potential causes to sweating at night. The term night sweats generally refers to excessive sweating at night related to a hormone imbalance. There is no one answer to explain the origin of sweating at night. Some common causes are: infection, some cancers, several medications, low blood sugars and a host of other less common reasons. Were going to focus in on the hormone imbalance commonly seen in menopause, although by no means limited to menopause. We have seen a common night sweats picture in the men with prostate cancer with elevated estrogen levels. Swelling often starts around your neck We generally start with saliva testing which allows us to identify what the hormone imbalance actually is and treat accordingly. When we don't start with saliva testing we very often get very good success with progesterone cream in the form of wild yam cream. There are many different preparations of wild yam cream on the market and often the preparation does not have enough progesterone cream to be effective. The above is the simple answer the better answer is to work with a healthcare professional who has experiencing natural hormone therapy.
