Does Kombucha Contain Alcohol
Is kombucha safe after the first trimester? The bottle says it has "trace amounts of alcohol." is it best to avoid it altogether?
I had several sips of kombucha, which has a little alcohol, but I'm supposed to take Metronidazole 500mg tonight. Will this give me bad side effects?
How long between: When you took sips of alcohol and when you are scheduled to take Metronidazole? Given the fact that there is only a small percentage of alcohol in kombucha, and that alcohol is metabolized relatively quickly, there should not be a problem, especially if you are taking them several hours apart. ...Read more

Safe in moderation?:
Kombucha contains alcohol but generally less than 1%. Experts have differing opinions on the safety of alcohol in pregnancy. Many feel none is safe but studies suggest 2 drinks a week is safe. One would need to have 5-6 kombuchas to equal one beer, so one a day is probably safe, but it might be wise to minimize in 1st trimester. See http://slate. Me/1be8iat

Could drinking kombucha tea once, day before blood work was done, raised my GGT to 157 following day?

Your ropinirole isn't noted for raising GGT but medications can do this unpredictably. More worrisome causes of high GGT include liver tumors -- these would typically also elevate your alkaline phosphatase. ...Read more

Can Kombucha make you feel like ur getting a stomach bug an hour after drinking it? (burning sour feeling in abdomen mixed with a mild stomach ache + nausea) I think this happened once before after I drank a bottle of it but I'm not sure.
Maybe: I'm not sure if I've hear this before but it is entirely possible if there is a timing correlation between when you drank it and the onset of your symptoms, that is likely the cause. If you already have mild problems with acid reflux, kombucha could make it worse. ...Read more
