Unrelated: Hypothyroidism is very common condition, so it is not uncommon to have other conditions that can coexist independent of each other. Neutropenia is often caused by bone marrow damage of some kind or other, although on rare occasions it can be congenital(since birth, cause unknown). The degree of neutropenia matters. Get evaluation!: There are several causes for hypothyroidism, including causes that cause the gland to grow quite large. You would do well to consult an endocrinologist . A doctor that studies endocrine system including thyroid . This Could be goiter, a cyst, or something more insidious. In women, osteoporosis becomes an issue the years after the have entered menopause. As of age 60 a bone density scan is typically covered under insurance, before that if you have risk factors.
