Warm/hot water will cause some dilation of skin pores making it a little easier to cleanse and remove debris. This may help reduce the number of new acne lesions. No: That's a foolish folk remedy basic on the subscientific notion that "water washes out poisons." this is 21st century and all acne is manageable. Benzoyl peroxide is the only otc remedy that works. I add topical Clindamycin plus a retinoic acid derivative if there are blackheads.
