Is increased appetite a Zoloft withdrawal symptom?

Unlikely, but....: Each person can be very different. Lists of common effects don't mean they'll happen - certainly not all! And a decrease is what some report. But you may be different. Discuss it w/ your Dr. It's probably unrelated and you might be able to resist it w/ some CBT therapy skills aimed at eating issues. Best!

Can vitamin B12 injections cause increased appetite?

Only psychologically: It has a very powerful placebo effect. It is often STILL used for that in people who don't have any reason to take it. They report increased well being. And that would include increased appetite

I feed my 4month old baby near 10 to 12 times a day. He always hungry. May I give any cereals food to him.?

Not yet: Introducing cereals early may not be a good idea. You should consider supplementing breast feeding with formula, if you are not producing enough milk. Early introduction of cereals may introduce sensitivity to cereal proteins. You should wait till the baby is six months old before introducing cereals.

I put on 5 pounds in a day then lose it the next then I put it on again and I'm always hungry and constipated, help?

Up and down: What is the feeding like where you live? If everyone is heavy that does not help you. If you alone with your weight problem please see if you can arrange an appointment with a dietitian. Please keep track of your weight as you check it.

Routine lab tests: Consider seeing your personal physician for a full medical history and physical exam. Routine lab tests will give you important answers about your health. Pay close attention to questions about diabetes and recent travel outside of the United States. At your age, a full nutritional assessment will help guide your food choices according to your metabolic needs.

Hi im an 18 year old male. I am always hungry sometimes even 5 mins after I ate and all through the night. What can I do about this?

Need more info: You didn't state how tall you are and how much you weigh. This would be important to note as to whether your condition may be due to an overactive thyroid, or if you're going through a growth spurt right now since you're a teenage male, and can theoretically still grow until your 21. Please provide us the information to help you.

Does Lithium's side effect "weight gain" appears because of increased appetite that Lithium causes, or it comes by some other mechanism?

Does Lithium's side effect "weight gain" appears because of increased appetite that Lithium causes, or it comes by some other mechanism?

Lithium: Increased thirst leading to consumption of high calorie drinks has been implicated in weight gain from lithium. Lithium caused hypothyroidism is another possible factor. Blood tests including thyroid levels should be done periodically while taking lithium. People taking lithium require careful medical supervision.

Since coming off Effexor (venlafaxine) XR and on 10mg lovan to deal with withdrawals. I've been having increased appetite? Hungryyyy! Why?

Since coming off Effexor (venlafaxine) XR and on 10mg lovan to deal with withdrawals. I've been having increased appetite? Hungryyyy! Why?

Loss of s/e: Perhaps you are someone for whom Effexor (venlafaxine) was causing decreased appetite, and its discontinuation has led to a predictable effect. Fluoxetine can also increase appetite.

It's been about 3 weeks since I had skyla inserted. Starting a few days ago I've had extreme bloating and increased appetite. Is this normal?

Not typical: These are not known or typical side effects of Skyla. It has a tiny amount of Progesterone which stays local to the lining of the uterus. Bloating and appetite changes have a huge list of possible causes. A Skyla IUD would be very low on the list of common causes. Consider seeing a gastroenterologist if these symptoms do not resolve

Why am I always hungry? I drink a lot of water. I eat something and am full for a min and then I can keep eating and I don't gain the weight.

Diabetes mellitus: Polyphagia, or increased hunger, is a common sign of diabetes mellitus. Increased thirst can also be a common sign. Please consult your family medicine physician to follow up on these symptoms. He/she will be able to check your blood glucose and HbA1c to rule in/out this diagnosis.

My baby is 6 weeks old. How much oz per feed she need. Currently giving 2oz per feed. But she is always hungry and crying even after feed and want more?

Infant Feeding: She should be drinking 4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours as a general rule. However, every baby is different, some want a little more or a little less. Always put an ounce more in the bottle than she finishes. Babies do not overeat! :)
