Scabies: Scabies looks like lines of burrows on skin made with little mounds or blisters. They cause itching which is often worse at night. Although they can be anywhere on skin they like going into skin folds (waistline, axilla, breasts, between fingers, feet, wrists, knees, elbows, buttocks ; genitalia. A dermatologist or your family doctor can make this diagnosis accurately.See 1 more doctor answer

Not anaphylaxis: Anaphylaxis refers to acute allergic reaction with loss of blood pressure, passing out, tight airway, sudden difficulty breathing. The cause is usually known. You have something quite different. You need a diagnosis-----scabies or whatever----and your Dr should call a dermatologist for you to be seen on an urgent basis.
Took a trip to the beach and got severe heat rash leading to itching. Does psych medicine cause skin to not sweat and create heat rash? Treatments?
Psychiatric Meds: Some psychiatric medications make a person more senstive to the sun, ask your doctor or pharmacist for help regarding your particular medications. You can also research all psych meds on the soundmindz. Org web site. Best.

This: This rash could be a few different things. - impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria - either streptococcus or staph. This needs to be treated with antibiotics. - contact dermatitis is skin inflammation. It can be caused by plants such as poison ivy or poison oak or it can be from contact of a chemical or item that a person is particularly sensitive to. This is usually treated with steroid creams or oral steroids. - viral illness such as chicken pox, shingles or herpes can also cause painful blisters on a red base. This can be treated with anti-virals or just needs to run its course depending on the severity of the infection. The best thing to do is to contact his doctor and have him seen, since each possible problem requires different treatments. Good luck.
Woke up with a slight rash&a few bumps on chest. Keeps getting worse, itches horribly&burns. No new exposures. What could have caused this? HELP??
Many possible causes: Itchy spots can be from many causes, such as: hives, viral infections, other infections, medication causes, hot-tub rashes, heat rashes, reactions to creams / lotions, allergic reactions to various things (including foods), internal disorders (such as kidney disease, auto-immune disease), etc... That means a rash that persists or is worrisome in appearance should be checked by a doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

Many causes: An allergy to food or medication. A reaction to an internal problem such as liver or kidney. Persistent itching requires blood tests. It is alsonpossible to have itching from an atypical case of scabies where it is difficult to find mites. Treatment with Elimite (permethrin) one application is safe as part of treatment, just in case.

I get hives and rashes when my body gets heat or exposed to sun etc., and it's itching a lot like needles poking. Please suggest me some help?
Physical urticaria: Cholinergic urticaria is not allergy. There is direct stimulation of twitchy mast cells when you are sweaty. Antihistamine will help. Zyrtec is best. Generic cetirizine is the same thing for less cost. Standard dose is 1 pill [10mg] a day. Some people take 2 or 3. Even 3 a day is usually well tolerated but a few people will feel drowsy.
Boyfriend has scabies and so does his sister and brothers. I just started itching today, no rash. Can I use the prescribed cream to prevent it?
Get treated: However consult your doctor for your own Rx as the risk of under treatment is higher if you have to share. Everyone affected should be treated at the same time and depending on how intimate the contact is, attention to linens and clothing items to disinfect them will prevent re infection. I usually recommend stuffing all items in large plastic bag for 3 days, then launder using hot water/dryer.
