Not related to TMJ: As a dentist all I can say is that your symtom is not related to your tm joint as it does not come and go with jaw joint movement. In fat, you probably do not have any TMJ dystunction if you can open and close fully without pain or noise. Remember, an anteriorly positioned articular disc is normal in better than one-third the population and is asymptomatic. Look for an ear problem and not tmj. ...Read more
