TB meningitis: Cod liver oil is not likely to be either harmful or helpful in this situation. If you want to take it, fine. If not, fine. The key is the degree of hydrocephalus, how it is managed, whether or not shunting is necessary and continuation of the antituberculous medications. If there is no signs of obstruction along pathways through the brain, it is considered "external" hydrocephalus. If there is no pressure, there is no need for shunt.
