Does Gonorrhea Cause Prostatitis
Not all prostatitis: Is bacterial. Perhaps prostate and seminal vesicle congestion may be irritating? We call prostatis when we cannot make a more specific diagnosis, and you suffer irritative effects. Commonly, anti-biotics are used, and anti-inflammatories. But sex, too much or too little, has no established role. Having sex can elevate the psa test, however. ...Read more
Gonorrhea is caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhea. Anyone who has any type of sex can catch gonorrhea. The infection can be spread by contact with the mouth, vagina, penis, or anus. The bacteria grow in warm, moist areas of the body, including the tube that carries urine out of the body (urethra). In women, the bacteria may be found in the reproductive tract (which includes the fallopian tubes, uterus, and cervix). The bacteria can even ...Read more
Can my prostatitis be passed to my wife and cause pid?
Chlamydia and gonorrhea urine naat test negative .
Probably not, but...: Prostatitis isn't an STD, and with negative gonorrhea and chlamydia, probably no PID risk for your wife. However, some docs mistakenly diagnose nongonococcal urethritis (an STD)as prostatitis. If you've had abnormal discharge from your penis, it's probably NGU, not prostatitis. Chlamydia and gonorrhea neg.
doxy, cipro, z pack, no help. Flagyl helped little.

Doubt prostatitis: No STD or any infection that might cause prostatitis is possible from such contact. I'm guessing your symptoms are some combination of urinary urgency, bladder discomfort, and/or testicular or low abdominal pain. Most men with such symptoms have genitally focused anxiety--pain from pevlic muscle tension not prostate. That all the antibiotics didn't help is very strong evidence against infection. ...Read more
