I am taking birth control continuously. I accidentally took a few inactive pills and now I am having withdrawal bleeding. Can I stop it?
Start a new pack: If you are taking oral contraceptive pills continuously and then take inactive pills, you are correct, you will get withdrawal bleeding. You did not mention how many days of inactive pills you have taken. There are 7 days of inactive pills in a 1-month pill pack. 2 weeks: When stopping birth control pills with the last pill in the package, not anytime before, ovulation can be anticipated 2 weeks from stopping the pill. This calculation still comes with a significant margin of error. May need more info: To summarize, you started the patch and took it off after a week. Sometime after removing the patch you had a withdrawal bleed. Your question? It is not unusual for this to happen in one cycle but two cycles without withdrawal bleeding indicates that the pills may be a bit too "strong" for you!

BTW RARELY a pregnancy can occur if conception occurs before you start the pill! Take an OTC Preg Test to be sure!!

In order to become pregnant, either ectopic or intrauterine (normal location of pregnancy) sperm has to be introduced in or near the vagina. There are multiple situations where women have conceived without penetration (penis inside of vagina). Your bleeding and cramping are likely due to the hormonal changes from the pill, which should go away within 3 months of starting the pill. You can take an early pregnancy test to be sure you are not pregnant, however I think it is due to the hormonal changes.
