1-2 days: After this period the chances of bacterial growth increase and nutrient quality also changes. Prefer fresh made home foods and finish them within this time period.
Unclear but: I suspect that your question was related to skin damage from ice or dry ice. If the lesion is not open, just let it be exposed. If it has breached the skin surface, you may cover it but be sure to keep the area clean.See 1 more doctor answer

SImple basic care: Burns are the response of the tissues to injury from temperature extremes. It is simply inflammation which means increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. Depth determines care. Anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen) will help. Avoid any further damage as this can cause scarring. Good skin cream applied daily/gently help and keep the area protected from trauma. No antibiotics.

I have freezer burn. Is blistering a good sign or no? How long will this last and scarring? What should I use to get rid of it?
Freezer burn: Any kind of "burn" may cause blisters. The important thing for patients to know is 1. Extent of burn 2. Certain locations of burn 3. Infection 4. Sensation is intact or not. I am assuming that since you are posting it here, it is unlikely above are true. If you are losing sensation, facial burn, superimposed infection or any other worriesome symptoms, it worthwhile to go to ER.
I work in a lab with dry ice, I think I may have mild freezer burn as it has been red and tingly for awhile. No blisters of anything though.
Dry Ice: You should always use caution when handling chemicals and materials with extreme temperatures. Please be sure to wear the appropriate approved protective equipment.
I put an ice pack directly on my cheek for 8 minutes last night. Now the spot is bright red (freezer burn?). Should I go to the doctor?
Why ice?: My first question is why were you using an ice pack? We're you using it for something at this site. Unless you were using "dry ice" I doubt you could have given yourself frostbite in 8 min with a standard ice pack if there is any question I would have it looked at.See 1 more doctor answer

Burning tongue: If part of your treatment for h. Pylori included biaxin, (clarithromycin) this is a possible cause of the burning tongue discomfort. Try bathing your tongue with maalox or apply glyoxide drops to it. In addition, take mutivitamin and extra vitamin B 12. My TSH level cum 6 n hb 11 n vit d 16.Can I start taking vit d n hb supplements as most of the time I feel burning in my food canal, burping n gas. Sug?
Not clear: Your question is not clear. If you have a TSH level of 6, that would be high and could indicate a low thyroid level. You should have a repeat TSH and free T4 level done. The vitamin d level of 16 would also be low and indicates that you should take vit d supplements. This should not cause burning in your swallowing tube or gas. You may need other testing for this, possibly for gallbladder problem.
I have opiate induced constipation. Can this cause burning in my lower to mid level back? I am in the process of getting dentures and also do not have teeth to chew my food. I am concerned that something seriously is wrong I am a 38 yr old mother of a you
Constipation/pain: constipation can cause back pain, but the combination of no teeth and opiods is trouble for your colon. There is a drug Movantik that you take once daily that blocks the constipation causing effects of opiods on the colon, but it is pretty expensive. The only way to be sure there is nothing wrong is to undergo colonoscopy
I heard dairy and tomatoes can't last safely in freezer over 1 month, is this true? Secondly, are there side effects of living on frozen foods[homemade
Not true: Dairy products (such as ice cream) and tomatoes can last much longer than 1 month in the freezer if kept cold enough. Frozen foods are safe and don't cause any special side effects (compared to non-frozen foods), as long as the foods were safely prepared before freezing, and are safely prepared during thawing, cooking, and eating... To avoid problems such as bacterial contamination.

Should be fine...: If it was still cold it should fine. If you leave the meat at room temp that is when germs may grow on your meat.
