May not be an issue: Good question. Some studies have shown that in those who had low zinc levels taking Folic Acid reduced zinc absorption ; utilization. Others have shown taking Folic Acid improves zinc absorption ; still others show no significant interaction! It does not seem to be an issue for most. Be patient: It takes an average of 6-7months to conceive and it is not considered a problem unless you go a year without conceiving. Continue folic acid and have intercourse around the time of ovulation. A multivitamin and about 5000 iu of Vit D3/day may help.
