Is taking 10 mg vicodan 3 x day.klonopin at nite to sleep. Hydroxyzine for interstitial cystitis. Imitrex (sumatriptan) for migraines too much? I have fibromyalgia

Is taking 10 mg vicodan 3 x day.klonopin at nite to sleep. Hydroxyzine for interstitial cystitis. Imitrex (sumatriptan) for migraines too much? I have fibromyalgia

Impossible to say: If the 30 mg of hydrocodone a day is for fibromyalgia, then I would say its too much of the wrong drug. If it is for the hip fracture, and you are within a few weeks of the injury, it may be appropriate. Fibromyalgia is best treated with appropriate exercise and the use of both antidepressants and anticonvulsants. You aren't on anything to prevent migraine. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

What medications cause cystitis? I'm having a cystoscopy for interstitial cystitis next week, but wonder if some of my meds are contributing..

Watch your diet!: I agree but would add that certain foods and drinks can really aggravate your ic discomfort. I usually ask patients when they have flares if they have started any new medications and on occasion have found meds that worsen the symptoms. If you have been on the medication for a while it is unlikely that it would suddenly start causing new problems. Ask your doctor if he has a diet sheet for ic. ...Read more

What is the cause of interstitial cystitis?

What is the cause of interstitial cystitis?

Trigger points!!: This is a new look at an old idea. Janet g. Travell, md a pain pioneer concluded that chronic tissue pain was caused by numerous trigger points in muscle fibers causing the muscles to contract compressing nerves, vessels and alter the flow of lymphatics. The pyramidalis and pelvic floor muscles are the cause. So this is a mechanical cause and requires a manual treatment. Acupuncture! see files. ...Read more
