Not sure it doesn't: Neither is healthy for your lungs. It may be that the effect of marijuana is just milder and you don't "feel" it but there is good evidence both adversely affect your lungs. ...Read more

Unlikely: While you are at increased risk for lung cancer due to your smoking, you likely are experiencing the direct effects of smoking. Your ability to clear secretions is impaired directly from smoking and you are most likely having to clear your throat more frequently because of that reason. A chest x-ray would be a reasonable option. Your symptoms may resolve if you were to quit smoking. ...Read more

A cold: You may just have a viral infection but keep staying off smoking regardless. You can do without it for 2 days so you should be able to get off it altogether. Remember that catching a cold often worsens your asthma. ...Read more
