Does Every Case Of Scabies Itch
How do you know if scabies is gone? What's the difference between permethrin itching and scabies itching? Does permethrin cause night itching? Help!
Did 2 rounds of permitherin cream for scabies. Both times got worse. (More borrows, bite, crawling sensation) Does this mean misdiagnosis? No scabies?
May be scabies: It is not uncommon for people to get more itchy instead of less a few days after scabies treatment. It is also important to put the cream over the whole body and not just the part with the rash, especially cutting nails and applying on hands well. Linens and clothes need to be washed well and close contacts may need to be treated. Sometimes people may retreat after.a week but not usually. ...Read more
Can a rash from scabies spread after permethrin treatment of the mites are killed? Just did treatment last night, rash on cheek now, not itchy
Probably not but: Even if the mites are killed, they have left some droppings behind in the skin areas where they had visited. The allergic reaction to the droppings may linger on for a couple of more weeks. However it is uncommon to involve the face and thus the problem may not be scabies. ...Read more
Is it mites? Family is itchy but no rash. PA says try Nix (permethrin) as an overnight lotion, shower off in the am. Sound like reasonable course of treatment?
Itchy Family: Treating the entire family for mites when the entire itches seems reasonable. Mites, on the other hand, should not cause loose stools. Loose stools along with rash make me think of viral or bacterial causes. Other environmental causes should be considered such as new laundry detergent, new soap, new carpet, new paint, new pet or recent travel and the related environmental exposures. ...Read more

Eczema outbreaks ranges from dry/weepy bumps, skin lesions, flakes/dry scales (in one outbreak). Does this mean I have more than one kind of eczema?
Not necessarily: these are common manifestations of eczema. the key to recovery is that you treat the cause. that eliminates most of the need for symptomatic medicines like steroid creams etc. to learn more about treating the cause please visit us at www.ehacstl. mostly eczema is environmental like inhalants such as dust molds pollens and hidden food allergy. there is no need for you to suffer ...Read more

Itchy skin. Shower does not help, only antihistamine. Tried removing various items from my diet. Happens at anytime of the day.
Not uncommon: Itchiness without rash is fairly common, and when it responds well to a single daily dose of antihistamine, such as otc Cetirizine 10mg, there isn't anything so far out of whack that we would be able to find anything wrong. If taking Cetirizine daily doesn't work, or if you develop a rash that accompanies the itching, see an allergist. Some people need to take Cetirizine for a long time; that's ok. ...Read more
1st time to get what I believe is yeast infection. Took a pessary, swelling gone. Itchy , stinging, bumps are not even with the use of of the cream. ?
May not be yeast: I don't know what "taking a pessary" means---that's a device to "prop up" a sagging uterus. Yeast infections are itchy, but usually don't have bumps or stinging and you usually have a cheesy discharge. This sounds more like herpes virus to me. You should be examined and could be placed on some prophylactic medication. Good luck! ...Read more
What would cause a round scaly itchy rash that spreads to other members of the home even after using antifungal which makes the itching worse. I've tried different product's. Muciprocion, anti fungal, my child was on keflex and then switched to septra thi
Not antifungal: Mupirocin, keflex and septra (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) aren't antifungals, those are antibiotics, topical and systemic. Miconazole cream though is the antifungal, it's OTC, needs at least 2 weeks of application, but you ultimately want to see your doctor, it might not be ring worm to start with, also if you have a pet at home, it needs to be taken care of, wish you all wellness. ...Read more

Redness on top of both hands..Doesn't itch. Doctor doesn't know what it is. Not eczema bc no itch..Never goes away...Not dermatomyositis or lupus?
See dermatologist: Doubt it's either lupus or dermatomyositis since a persistent hand rash (on back of hands only, not on knuckles) is not a presenting symptom. Would recommend seeing a dermatologist. It may be a benign rash requiring no treatment but could indicate an early sign of some other health problem. If the dermatologist decides to do a biopsy, this is often the best way to figure out what is causing the rash. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is it normal that Benadryl oral does not provide relief at all for chronic urticaria itchness no matter how high the dose?
How to tell if my rash is scabies or something else? It doesn't itch and it comes and goes. I've used scabies cream and steroid cream
Rash: Best way is to be seen by a dermatologist because you are self diagnosing yourself and treating yourself. In case it is a skin fungus you are not treating it right and by putting steroids you are promoting the fungus to grow since I can't see a picture go to your Dr. or to a dermatologist. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Permetherin : Permetherin is the medication used to treat scabies. There is a pill that can treat it also. It's possible that you don't have scabies, however, my suggestion is that you be seen by a medical professional, preferably a dermatologist to see why you are itching and if there are scabies mites that they can see under the microscope. Scabies typically shows up on the creases of the wrists, between the fingers and in the skin folds. Many times when someone has scabies, there are multiple other close contacts affected. ...Read more
My entire body is itchy from the inside out, some hive flare-ups in not usual places, prednasone and benedryl after 4 days not helping?
How to get rid of dandruff that comes often even after bathing every alternate day? Dandruff color is some kind of brown but not white as usual
For the last week every time I go to bed I itch all over and bad. Don't itch at all when up. Have washed the sheets, used lotion don't see any insects?
Not uncommon: Itching usually gets worse at night regardless of the cause. First I would suggest that you try sleeping on a couch overnight to see if the bed has anything to do with it- even though I doubt that this is the cause. Since you are on Tamoxifen, your skin may be dry. Apply moisturizer <3 mins after bathing may help. If the hair loss in unexplained (chemo?) get checked for iron def. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
