My 15month old baby won't drink milk in a regular cup only in his bottle still how can I take that away? Is it normal for him to have bad dreams?

My 15month old baby won't drink milk in a regular cup only in his bottle still how can I take that away? Is it normal for him to have bad dreams?

Put water in it: Infants are pattern driven and find change difficult. If you put water in the bottle it becomes boreing but may fill a self settling need. It will also keep him hydrated until he comes around. If you put the good stuff in a hard nose sippy cup and leave a few empties around the house as reminders, he can decide to change onn his own terms. ...Read more

Drinking excessive amount of water during day reduce nocturnal emission? (by the way none of my dreams are related to sex when I get to remember them)

Drinking excessive amount of water during day reduce nocturnal emission? (by the way none of my dreams are related to sex when I get to remember them)

Won't help much: Drinking very excessive amounts of water daily can be dangerous to the kidney, although this takes- alot of water. It is unlikely to help the nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) unless it does by waking you up. Nocturnal emissions usually persist only for a fairly short time during adolesence. They can be reduced by masturbation or even some anti-depressants can prevent ejaculation. ...Read more

I took a bone scan almost 10years ago and the result was osteoperenia eventhough I always drink milk since my childhood. What are the causes of it?

I took a bone scan almost 10years ago and the result was osteoperenia eventhough I always drink milk since my childhood. What are the causes of it?

Keep drinking milk: There are many causes for osteopenia and they can include chronic diseases, smoking, low vitamin D levels and low physical activity. Calcium and vitamin D are found in milk but you may still need more than what you can drink in milk alone. If you are concerned I would recommend talking to your doctor to see if you need to recheck your bone density or not- especially if you have risk factors. ...Read more

Feeding: If you are starting some baby cereal and or baby solids, they often will not take as much formula as before.

My daughter is nine and still wets the bed I have asked her doctor about it and he does not seem concerned. I have limited drinks after dinner. She does not drink milk or caffiene. I am at a loss. Is there anything I can do?

Hello.: Hello. It is really hard on a child at age 9 to still wet the bed. It certainly impacts self esteem. It is also hard on whoever cleans the messes. I believe it is important for the child to be evaluated for a possible medical cause. If that work up is negative than working up for a psychological cause would be appropriate. I suggest that you be polite but assertive in asking the doctor to assess this specific issue. If the doctor is not a pediatrician, it might be helpful to see a pediatrician. At some point, if the issue has been put out in the open and the provider is not responsive, you might want to assess if that provider is adequately meeting your family's needs. Take care. ...Read more
