Depends: Raised liver enzymes may be attributable to a number of causes and drugs. Staying on this drug must be determined by you and your physician. The amount of "raise" over normal is key to making this determination. A small increase may not be a cause for alarm.
See doctor: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician. You may have gall bladder disease.
If my liver enzymes raised during first month on Accutane, does that mean they will continue to rise?
Probably yes: This is far from certain but there is a good chance they will. Accutane is a powerful drug that can have serious side effects. A variety of natural therapies can be very helpful. I advise a quality multivitamin. Vitamins A, B6, C, natural E and zinc can help, as can dietary changes and herbs. See http://draxe. Com/home-remedies-for-acne/ and http://tinyurl. Com/myswy2s

Yes: This is fairly common. They might also have been raised by the medications a person takes for the virus. If checking baseline liver function, it is best to wait until the patient has recovered fully from a recent viral illness.
How long can liver enzymes stay raised once the insult has been ceased? E.g. If it was lots of Aspartame, or a poor diet & sedentary. ThankYou Doctors
Is it okay to occasionally (few times month) take Midol for migraine (only thing that helps) if liver enzymes raised on accutane (highest 50)?
A concern: Accutane might itself be causing the headaches. Liver enzyme rise does not cause headaches.
Yes: It's common. Tell your physician you were partying. If the enzymes are high, they'll be repeated after a time off alcohol.
My sister has these bright red not raised scratch like marks all over her chest and under eyes. High liver enzymes but said to be ok but getting worse?
Red marks: Your description is not specific for anything specific. Go see a regular doctor for further evaluation and treatment.
I found out metformin raised my liver enzymes while trying to treat pcos. Can I finish the prescription I have left safely?
Is nafld the likely diagnosis for raised liver enzymes (ast=117, alt=114) if tests for ebv, gbv, hep a, b, c are negative & no drugs/alcohol?
I have a cyst in my lower rt pelvic area that my doc says is a gland/hair follicle. My WBC count is 11.1 and my liver enzymes ar raised. I'm worried.
Hard to say: If the "cyst" is really just an skin related issues like an inflammed follicle or inclusion cyst then it's unlikely related to your marginally high white blood cell count and elevated liver function tests. But if that "cyst" in the groin is related to a lymph node then please be sure to review this with your healthcare provider as it is possible they are related.
Constantly starving lately and get pounding heart if I ignore it. Raised pancreas and liver enzymes. Goitre but normal tsh. Blood sugar been tested and never remarked on. Not gaining weight. Theories?
Talk to your doctor: Giving lab data to doctors who have not seen you is useless without having access to your medical records, a full history and the ability to examine you. You need to discuss this with the doctor who ordered these tests. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
My ferritin level is 250. I also have raised liver enzymes of 350 (normal 1 -50) and unexplained diabetes. Any ideas of what could be going on?
Ferritin: High ferritin levels can be seen in people with an inherited disease called hemochromatosis (hc) - your doctor probably ordered it to check for this. Hc is caused by a mutation and leads to iron being deposited in tissues and can result in diabetes and abnormal liver enzymes. Ask your doctor about this.See 1 more doctor answer
Had surgery 8days ago to remove ovarian cyst they found blood around ovarie. Had 2 blood tests 7days apart both showing raised Liver enzymes why?
Unknown: Many causes of elevated liver enzymes. Could be related to the anesthetic agents used in surgery. Alcohol can do it as well as other drugs. Many people today have fatty liver due to a high carbohydrate diet. It does need to be evaluated, but I would reassure you that it doesn't relate to the surgery itself or the ovary in any direct way. Good luck
They may: It is not unusual for patients to have slight elevations in their liver enzymes with gall stones. This is probably caused by sub clinical inflammation in the gall bladder. Significant elevations are seen in acute cholecystitis and elevation of the bilirubin can be due due common duct stones with obstruction.
