I have IC and use Azo for burning. I was told Cystex works as well and does not cause the orange urine. Is this true?

No: Cystex is a dietary supplement (look for fda disclaimer in small print). It appears to be a cranberry concentrate plus assorted ingredients that might prevent infection but can't cure it. Only antibiotics can cure (bacterial) infections. Phenazopyridine (aka Azo or Pyridium (phenazopyridine) etc) is an otc medication that can decrease UTI pain. UTI Pain: Yes, you can take Amoxicillin and cystex together. Cystex is just for the pain of a urinary tract infection. Treating the infection with an appropriate antibiotic should get rid of your pain, too, once it has a chance to work.
