How soon after you have a copper IUD removed can you get pregnant? Had the copper IUD for 4 years how long does the copper stay in your body after removal?
Right Away: You are still ovulating with the iud in place & once it's removed, you are fertile as of your next cycle. Is it common for woman with the copper IUD to have smelly periods, and even stay smelly after? How can I get rid of the odor after my period?
It can happen.:
A copper iud changes the environment in the uterus. Some women will be prone to odor from changes like bacterial vaginitis (bv); but BV is pretty common.
Sexually transmitted infections can cause an odor, the odor may just be from older blood in the uterus as well.

Easy to remove it: Removal is so much easier than insertion. So much. Don't be afraid of the removal. And yes, your periods should calm down after removal. I had sex a gentleman on a Thursday. Then on Friday I had my copper IUD removed and had sex. Could I get pregnant from thursday?
Possibly: The deposits of Thursday can remain active for a couple of days in your tubes, and fertilize an egg coming through. Since the coil was removed Friday, it would not be around to receive and interfere with implantation if it was to occur. However, the trauma of coil removal might have made the area unsuitable for implantation. It's always good to overlap methods of BC if you are in the process of change ...Read more
Is it possible to get pregnant with a copper IUD if he doesn't cum inside you? Is it possible the stress of worrying is making me late?
The sperm must be present, and travel, and meet the egg and have a place to settle in.
Sperm release can be without full ejaculation, so condom has merit in control.
Iuds make the uterus inhospitable but very rarely pregnancy can occur.

Spotting for last 9 days- didn't get period which was due last week. Home Preg test negative. Have copper IUD for 4yrs. Very scared of cancer.?
Cancer is not likely cause of your symptoms, it is more likely to be due to hormonal imbalance. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
