See details: A pap smear will not identify erosion. It can identify the effects of an erosion such as inflammation. Erosion can be seen during an exam Sounds like you need to ask questions to the doctor that examined you as to what was seen during your exam. Read more

My girlfriend is having intermittent moderate pain around the cervix two weeks after cervical erosion cauterisation. What may cause this?

That's not outside: Of what would be expected with normal healing, although it's often difficult to interpret where pain in the vagina/cervix/uterus is actually coming from. Nothing should have been inserted into the vagina up to this point. I think it would be safe to just watch and wait another week or so; contact her doctor if she is concerned in the meantime, especially if discharge or bleeding. Best wishes:) Read more

Is the laser procedure to remove cervical erosion painful (during the procedure itself and afterwards during intercourse)?

No: The surface of the cervix can be numb by spray or injection. This makes the procedure painless. Discomfort after is usually minimal. It does however depend on how much material is removed. Hope this helps. Best of luck Read more

I've seen a dr blood work and pap done. Cervical erosion is what she said I have. What can I do?

See an OB/GYN: That depends upon the cause of the erosion, and the best person to determine future course of therapy is the doctor who examined you. This cannot be determined over the internet and mandates an extensive knowledge of your history, exam findings and labs. Good luck. Read more

Hi my doctor told me that I have cervical erosion how dangerous is that? And he did byopsy because I have low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion

Glad you're treated: Erosions are curiosities and variants of normal anatomy, not a cause for concern. However, even a low-grade cervical intraepithelial lesion needs to be followed closely. I'm glad you are getting good care. Read more

Wife irregular bleeding and lower ab pain. Gyn found cervical erosion/inflammation. Scared could be cancer. Not pregnant and no std. What could it be?

Cervical erosion: Inflammation of the cervix and "erosion" are not uncommon and are not necessarily associated with STD or cancer. It may be associated with coital bleeding. It would be prudent to discuss it with her gynecologist and get a PAP smear at the same time. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Read more

What is circumolar erosion, cervix and how it is connected to fungal infection in vagina?

What is circumolar erosion, cervix and how it is connected to fungal infection in vagina?

A fungal infection: Will not cause an erosion. I am not aware of the term circumolar in reference to an erosion but we use that typically as a descriptive term for inflammation of the cervix. So there can be an actual erosion but I bet in your case u had vaginitis, the cervix appeared inflamed, u were told it was an erosion, my hunch, not a big deal but ask your doctor about it, he or she r the one who saw it.
