Does Cancer Lump Hurt
Not usually: Pain is not a common presenting symptom in patients with breast cancer. Though it can be, it is not common. A tender lump could be a cyst, or (also uncommon) an infection (more common in breastfeeding patients). Definitely a good idea to see your dr and have an exam, find out if you need any imaging done, . ...Read more

I have a lump/knot on the left size of my neck, it does hurt be it's worrying me. I had blood work done about 3 weeks ago and everything was good. Could this lump/knot be cancer?
Follow up with doc: If it doesn't get smaller and go away or continues getting bigger, especially if it is hard, firm, and immobile, it makes sense to think about biopsying it for your peace of mind. If you and your doctor decide to do this, a referral to an Otolaryngologist or Ears Nose and Throat surgeon would be a good idea. If you have had a recent viral infection or sore throat, that may be the cause. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have a lump under left armpit, dr thinks it's only a cyst i go for test tomorrow, it's painful could this be cancer some say cancer doesn't hurt?

Breast cancer, of course can spread to the lymph nodes of the armpit and produce a firm, painless lump there. That is what you need to be sure about. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probable thyroid: Directly under the adam's apple is the cricoid cartilage which can be felt as a firm lump. However there is also an extension of the thyroid, the pyramidal lobe, in which nodules can form. As both will move up and down with swallowing it can be hard to tell them apart. Suggest you see md. ...Read more
