Can we use almond oil for breast massage in pregnancy due reduce the pain n tenderness? I have breast tissue in my left breast checked by doctor.

In moderation but...: I was surprised to find a study suggesting that women who regularly used almond oil for abdominal massage during pregnancy had increased risk of premature birth but more research is needed. Occasional use for breast massage might be fine but I would advise coconut oil instead. See http://tinyurl.com/n69qz8s and http://tinyurl.com/kddujov ...Read more

What causes blue veins to suddenly appear in your breasts with no weight change and they don't run in the family? Also 8 days late with a neg pregnant test

Normal finding: I am amazed about how often I have women ask me about the veins on their breast. Occasionally they are spider veins but mostly they are blue veins. These are almost always normal findings and normal variations of chest veins. They tend to be more pronounced in fair skinned females and they may be related to hereditary factors or even pregnancies. No treatment is necessary unless for cosmetics. ...Read more

So most patients do not suffer from pain unless it is far advanced cancer which has been there for many years and no longer treatable. ...Read more

My breasts hurt all the time, hysterectomy in 2010, but get the heavy pain and even some leaking common in pregnancy, no lumps felt though.?

Probably hormones: You didn't mention if your ovaries were removed with the hysterectomy or if you were placed on hormone replacement therapy..These along with age related changes can affect hormone balance in your body. A hormone called prolactin can cause milk discharge, and changes in estrogen can create breast tenderness. Get a breast examination and hormone panel blood test at your doctor to evaluate properly. ...Read more

In the morning I have severe stomach cramps and loose stool. This will occur for a week or two and go away then come back. Otherwise healthy, no pain?

Get GI evaluation: It's difficult to say for sure without detailed history and exam, however your symptoms could be from excessive acid, irritable bowel or chronic inflammation. Start by seeing your PCP, who will then refer you to a GI specialist if indicated. You need to establish a relationship with a local primary care physician to help you get the best care available. ...Read more
