No magic bullet: I will invest heavily in any food which has proven efficacy in promoting hair growth. Hair growth is dependent on many factors including hereditary, stress level, hormone status (thyroid), iron level etc. I have no problem with biotin but it will not likely add a strand of hair to your scalp. See a dermatologist if you are the only one in the family with scanty hair growth. ...Read more

Both unlikely: Unless you were eating raw eggs, it is very unlikely that you had biotin deficiency. You may take Biotin supplement, it will not do harm, but it is not likely to reverse hair loss. See this site for more info.
