Is bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) of soda a good home remedie for a UTI I have read a spoonful in a glass of water is good?

Not really: It's probably the fluid alone - alkalinizing your urine will not kill bacteria in your urine. You should remain "hydrated" at all times (urine output >/= 2 quarts/day). (urinary alkalinization is usually a treatment for uric acid kidney stones - but is better done as potassium citrate/not sodium bicarbonate.). ...Read more

Vaginitis/cystitis: It could be that you have a vaginal infection (either yeast or bacterial) and it's localized to the area around your urethra or that when your acidic urine touches the tissue at urethra, it burns. You could also have interstitial cystitis (ic). There are foods and drinks women with ic should avoid, high on the list is soda/carbonated beverages. Consider seeing md to get checked for these. ...Read more

Hi I have a uti on and off for 2weeks. Treated with citro soda and pyridium. Leukocytes tested +2. Today I had dizzy spells. Bp measured 112/70?

A course of good Ant: Unless you have previously/recently used a good antibiotic, Pyridium is not a good drug to control active UTI. Moreover it can give unpleasant side effects like you have listed above.
