No, minimal if any..: Baking soda won't do much for a yeast infection. It takes some serious medicine to treat either oral, vaginal, or skin. See your PCP. Consider lifestyle changes to lessen the chance or recurrence... nutrition, probiotics, quality of sleep, Diabetes?

Yeast infections: It sounds as though you believe drinking soda is related to your yeast infection. These two things are not related so feel free to drink the beverage of your choice.

The average yogurt you buy in the grocery store has dead cultures. Consider eating yogurt with live cultures or Kefir. There is a prebiotic product called Luvena (vaginal wipes). The wipes are not a treatment for candidiasis but do help vaginitis.

Could help: It can sometimes be helpful to overwhelm the vagina with good bacteria such as those often found in plain yogurt with live cultures. In extreme cases where the vagina and vulva are very inflamed, sticking the yogurt directly on the vulva and inside the vagina provides quick relief from the discomfort. But it's important to also flood the GI tract with good bacteria by eating 1 cup of yogurt /day.
