UCC for UTI: The symptoms of UTI are burning, pain, hesitancy, incontinence, frequency, urgency, nighttime voiding, blood in the urine, and residual sensation after. You have the burning without the pain nor frequency. Look at the other symptoms to make your decision - you may be able to push fluids and escape this one. I had what felt like a bladder infection I took the Azo pills and drank lots of water the burning went away still have pressure on bladder though???

SEE DOCTOR: Azo does not treat infections, Antibiotics do! If you still have pressure, you still have an infection. The only reason to take Azo is for short term relief until you can see a health care provider, or until the antibiotic you are taking starts working. Too many patients take Azo and end up with Kidney infections and serious Sepsis because they think Azo will cure the UTI - IT DOESN'T! ...Read more

My boyfriend made a sex toy out of caulking. I have been running a fever, no appettite, chills. At first thought I was getting a bladder infection. So started taking Azo pills. Plus have bad head aches all day long.

I: I don't know which type of caulking was used. So I have included mds material for a caulking that is frequently used. Your health shouldn't play second fiddle to sexual fun. What the two of you did was irresponsible because you didn't have any knowledge about how the caulking would effect your health before using it inside yourself.
Here is the mds data:
material safety data sheet
msds name: pb-3 siliconized acrylic latex caulk

Posted question yestetday 50 year old female with UTI symptoms., Drs responded UTI. Bought AZO URINE TEST shows leucocitos in urine/nitroto normal?

Here are some...: Many causes may induce UTI-like symptoms. (+) for WBC & (-) for nitrite in chemstrip dipstick suggest the presence of inflammation indeed in urinary tract or possible contamination from improper urine collection or no UTI by gram negative bacilli, not gram positive cocci or urine not staying inside bladder long enough. I have 500+ on the Azo urine test strip, negative for the nitrite. Have had a low fever ranging from 99.0-100.3 for the last 2 weeks. What could it be?

UrineUrineEverywhere: There are lots of opinions about discrepancies between the Nitrite and Leukocyte parts of the urine test. But here's my take: if you have symptoms and either or both is positive then it's most likely a UTI; both negative, repeat the test in a day and if still negative, ask your doctor. No symptoms then don't take the test just for "fun." You may end up getting confused and wasting a lot of time. ...Read more

Tested positive on leukocytes in my urine with Azo urine test, but at the doctors the culture came back negative. But I don't understand how my urine?

Urine WBC, UTI, STD?: The Azo urine leukocytes (WBC) test gives a clue about urinary tract infection, but that's all. WBCs can appear in the urine from vulva or vaginal fluids if not a good "clean catch" specimen. Discuss with doctor if you have typical UTI symptoms (urgency, burning). If not, retest and don't worry if leukocytes normal. STDs also can cause urine WBC with negative culture, so get checked if at risk. ...Read more

Yes, . ..: The bacteria-protecting biofilm formation is demonstrated in tissue electromicroscopic examination, not with traditional urinalysis, and postulated to be key difficulty in eradicating bacteria hiding inside biofilm.
