Does Aspartame Cause Constipation
Will Fybogel fibre drink for constipation cause cancer? Since it contains aspartame which could possibly lead to cancer.
Can't: There is an elaborate disinformation campaign about aspartame. Someone more cynical than I am would think perhaps the sugar and corn syrup industries are behind it. Aspartame is not a mutagen capable of damaging dna; real carcinogens are. Examine the tone of these folks' claims & lack of any scientific papers -- they're not real truth-seekers; or ask you local biochemistry teacher. ...Read more

No there hasn't: As far as I know. This would require a double blinded prospective study of significant # of men, 1/2 who consumed aspartane on regular basis & 1/2 who don't. Can see no reason why phimosis could be caused by aspartane. Would seriously question anyone who has made such claims. Unfortunately, there are all too many false assertions made about such occurrences i.e. from vaccines. Always question! ...Read more
Is aspartame bad for you? The sparkling water I like contains it, but I heard it causes cancer. Any truth??
Nothing after 20 yrs: Since the 1990's, there has been a scare campaign against aspartame as causing everything -- familiar cancers, multiple sclerosis, lupus, brain tumors, chronic fatigue. A few people are clearly allergic. But the science is fabricated, the real authors have eluded identification and the scientific attributions have been fake. My doctor friends are mostly still drinking it. ...Read more

Could an allergy to aspartame cause shortness of breath or a feeling that I cannot take a deep breath? Very annoying feeling
Unlikely: Aspartame has been implicated as a potential cause for otherwise unexplained and repeating severe anaphylactic reactions. Some patients swear it is a trigger. In small controlled studies, however, a link between aspartame and allergic sensitivity has not been established. I would work harder to identify alternative potential triggers. I would still avoid aspartame due to link with migraines, etc. ...Read more
Are sweeteners dangerous? I read that Aspartame, Sucralose, Acesulfame & Neotame can cause some cancers. My wife is pregnant & I'm worried! Thanks.
Stop worrying: Some of my teammates here will disagree, but I discount these fear claims. Just as every fruit and vegetable has somebody claiming it's a "superfood" that cures everything, so every artificial product has someone claiming it causes cancer, autism, mental illness and so forth. If these claims were true, the research piranhas at the NIH would have built reputations proving them. ...Read more
Apparently so: As dr. Howell says, there's controversy about this, as there's money in selling aspartame-sweetened diet drinks and more. However, cleansing your system of toxins when you have unusual symptoms makes sense. "non-nutritional" sweetener is what it's euphemistically called. Http://articles. Mercola. You're OK and don't need to worry about them. ...Read more
Fast enough: Some of my teammates will disagree, but I'm unimpressed with the much-touted dangers of these three sweeteners. Some folks do seem allergic to aspertame. If you want to believe the scare stories and still eat sweet stuff while avoiding refined sugar and corn syrup, rediscover natural fresh fruit. Especially, don't let anybody sell you a "purge" to rid of you of past artificial sweeteners. ...Read more
