Highly Unlikely!: Hypotension drives dizziness, slowness of mental function, etc; dyspnea (shortness of breath) very unlikely. Dyspnea typically a result of exercise, anxiety &/or increased congestion in lungs, as perceived in brain. Having a "normal" echo or MRI does no exclude this because they do not reveal diastolic function, pulmonary venous pressures or air flow; only possibly changes of chronic elevation. ...Read more

However new onset of shortness of breath after recent lar always raises the possibility of pulmonary emboli (unlikely but needs to be considered).
