Need more eval: Gastritis means inflammation on the stomach lining. It does not cause anemia- unless if it is not just gastritis but also you have bleeding on the stomach lining or if the gastritis is affecting absorption of certain nutrient like iron for instance. Much. In the common situation where a rod is placed in the femur to stabilize a serious fracture there would be effacement of some bone marrow, but not enough in of itself to cause a deficit in rbc production leading to anemia.

Is IRON DEFICIENCY but a complete work-up is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! .... This should include a GI evaluation and COMPLETE BLOOD analysis. (Iron, B-12-folic acid)....This should be done as soon as practicable!
