Lymphoma and thyroid: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an immune attack on the thyroid which can over time provoke lymphoma through overstimulation of the lymph tissue in the area. No one knows: Certainly some other cancers have been linked but as far as i know there is no direct linkage. On the other hand, herbicides have had an association with lymphoma and myeloma and agent orange is a "super herbicide". Probably not but...: Agent Orange contains dioxin, a toxic chemical proven to cause many serious illnesses. Muscular dystrophy is something people are born with. Agent Orange may cause Muscular dystrophy in the children of those exposed to it but isn't known to cause it directly in those exposed. The decisions about compensation of veterans are based largely on good and humane public policy rather than real science.
